David Plasencia

David Plasencia is the translation coordinator in the UCAAN Education and Training Department, UCLA Department of Psychiatry Division of Population Behavioral Health (DPBH), and UCLA Prevention Center of Excellence. He is a military veteran who served in the Marine Corps for six years. David earned his B.A in Linguistics with a minor in translation from the University of California, Long Beach (CSULB). He not only assists with translation of materials but also oversees the translation and cultural competence team that assures that all materials are culturally appropriate and maintain objectives when translated to another language.
