About
Dr. Robin Ortiz is a scientific advisor for the UCLA-UCSF ACEs Aware Family Resilience Network (UCAAN). She also sits on the New York State Trauma Informed Resource Network Advisory Council. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Population Health and is faculty in the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Ortiz is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, and lifestyle medicine. She practices clinically at Bellevue Public Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Ortiz’ research aims to identify 1) mechanisms linking stress physiology and disease risk, and 2) approaches to attaining intergenerational cardiovascular health for disease resilience especially after exposure to adversity.
Dr. Ortiz received her BS in neuroscience from Northeastern, her MD from Loyola, residency training at Johns Hopkins, and fellowship training in the National Clinician Scholars Program (Penn/CHOP site).
